DELARTE – Social Entrepreneurship Skills Labs for Youth Art Workers

DELARTE – Social Entrepreneurship Skills Labs for Youth Art Workers is a 24-month international project running from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2026, designed to empower the next generation of creative changemakers by bridging the worlds of art, youth work, and social entrepreneurship.

The project is funded by the European Commission under Erasmus+ program and is delivered by a strong European consortium, coordinated by Malta, and implemented together with partner organisations in Slovenija, Greece, Romania, Belgium and Germany. This cross-cultural collaboration brings together diverse expertise, ensuring a rich, inclusive and future-oriented approach to innovation in the creative and social sectors.

DELARTE focuses on building the entrepreneurial capacity of young artists while strengthening the mentoring abilities of youth workers, enabling them to guide and support emerging creatives in developing socially driven artistic initiatives. Through a comprehensive framework called the DELARTE methodology, the project provides structured learning, practical guidance, and digital tools that foster both creative expression and entrepreneurial mindset.

Empowering young creatives and youth workers

The project’s main objectives are to:

  • Equip young artists with the knowledge and skills needed to transform creative ideas into sustainable social ventures
  • Strengthen the role of youth workers as mentors capable of supporting artistic entrepreneurship
  • Offer innovative digital learning tools, training labs, and practical frameworks
  • Build a collaborative, translocal ecosystem where art meets social innovation

By merging creativity with entrepreneurship, DELARTE encourages young people to become leaders, innovators, and active contributors to social change.

From Insight to Action: Core Project Activities

DELARTE combines research, co-creation and real-world application through a series of interconnected activities:

  • Six international roundtable discussions and an internal protocol to gather sector insights and define needs
  • Development of the DELARTE Guidemap, serving as the strategic blueprint for the project methodology
Creation of two primary digital resources:
    1. DELARTE Career Itinerary Guide – a structured pathway supporting career development in creative social entrepreneurship
    2. DELARTE Live Handbook – an evolving, practice-driven guide for youth workers and young creatives
  • Launch of the DELARTE Innovation Space, a collaborative digital hub that will host all learning resources, tools and opportunities for exchange
  • Delivery of the Social Entrepreneurship Skills Labs, hands-on capacity-building experiences where all project resources and tools converge to support learning through practice, experimentation and mentorship

Our results

DELARTE is designed to generate sustainable, practical results that will continue supporting young creatives beyond the project lifespan. Expected outcomes include:

  • DELARTE Guidemap – the core strategic and methodological framework
  • Social Entrepreneurship Career Itinerary Guide – step-by-step career navigation for young artists
  • DELARTE Live Handbook – a dynamic and adaptable learning resource
  • Innovation Space – a digital collaboration and learning ecosystem
  • A trained network of young artists and youth workers equipped to create and mentor social ventures with confidence

Through these outputs, young creatives will gain not only knowledge, but also the practical tools and support networks needed to enter the world of social entrepreneurship with creativity, purpose, and resilience.
