We are pleased to announce the launch of the Erasmus+ KA2 project “NextGen Citizen: Innovating Civic Learning for Tomorrow” (KA220-YOU), which officially started on September 1, 2025, and will run until August 31, 2027.

This 24-month international partnership brings together four organizations from across Europe:

•       Korenyak Foundation (Bulgaria) – project coordinator

•       Zavod Boter (Slovenia)

•       Udruga za Održivi Društveni Razvoj i Volonterizam (Croatia)

•       Danube 1245 (Serbia)

Its main objective is to enhance civic education and promote active citizenship among young people through the development of innovative, digital, and non-formal learning and teaching tools, while fostering cross-border collaboration, democratic values, and social responsibility.

Throughout the project, we will develop a range of innovative educational resources and activities, including:

•       Development of modern curricula, methodologies, and guidelines for non-formal civic education courses targeting young people aged 15–30

•       Organization of workshops for youth workers and pilot testing of the developed educational approaches

•       Creation of a Digital Center for Civic Education – a multilingual online platform offering open-access resources, interactive tools, and educational content

•       Production of 12 civic educational videos and development of a thematic YouTube channel

•       Additional digital content, consultancy opportunities, and networking tools to support youth engagement

All materials will be designed to be accessible, practical, and adaptable, supporting both youth workers and young people in strengthening civic participation and democratic engagement.

The project aims to create long-term impact by:

•       Enhancing civic competencies and active participation among young people

•       Strengthening the capacity of youth workers through modern digital tools and methodologies

•       Promoting cross-national collaboration and knowledge exchange between partner organizations

•       Providing sustainable digital infrastructure through the Digital Center for Civic Education
