5 signs you’re looking at pseudoscience

Pseudoscience doesn’t announce itself. But it leaves clues. Here are 5.

🚩 1. It can’t be proven wrong. Every test that fails has an excuse ready. Real science makes claims that could fail — and accepts it when they do.

🚩 2. It never changes its mind. The same claims, decade after decade, untouched by new evidence. Real science updates. That’s not weakness — that’s the whole point.

🚩 3. Criticism means conspiracy. “They don’t want you to know this.” Real science answers objections with data, not with villains.

🚩 4. Stories instead of studies. One dramatic testimonial beats a thousand boring data points — emotionally. Not factually. Real science counts all the cases, including the ones that didn’t work.

🚩 5. Certainty about everything. Miracle cures, hidden truths, guaranteed results. Real science says “probably,” “under these conditions,” “so far.” Confidence comes in degrees.

Spotting these is a skill you can train.
